LRV Interior, Last Revenue Trip

, March 16, 2007
The final day of operation for the Light Rail Vehicle came several years after it was expected, occurring on March 16, 2007. The "final run" had been questionable throughout the week, but it finally left Riverside at 11:30AM, just as a snowstorm began to unravel over the area. Coincidentally, and quite fittingly, the LRVs were pressed into service early in December of 1976, amidst a snowstorm which necessitated their early debut.
For the last two days (and runs) of operation, one of the promotional flyers that were created thirty years earlier was posted inside the vehicle to honor their retirement.
